Ducci Duccio
Master yacht and small craft Morbihan, France
Présentation
I’m a young and passionate naval architect & nautical engineer who is looking for challenges in the industry of the high performance
sailing boats design. I graduated with distinction in the MSc Yacht and Small Craft at the University of Southampton.
During my Final Project I developed an innovative system for the detection of the forces and the geometry of a full
scale mainsail, through the use of the only recorded images. The project was marked with a First Grade. Sailor since the
age of 7, I spent the months after graduation competing in the most famous offshore regattas such as the Rolex Fastnet
Race and the Rolex Middle Sea Race. I also completed two Atlantic Crossing, of which, one on an IMOCA 60. This allowed
me to experience on my skin the everyday issues sailors have to deal with, and hence, to become a more careful designer.
During my studies I moved to different countries, becoming fluent in Spanish and English. I’m used to travel and work
with people coming from all over the world. My goal is now to work at the top of the racing yacht development to design
winning boats and innovative solutions.
